The texture of the Cinnamon leaf is leathery and shiny green when it’s fresh, and there is a distinguishable light green vein in the middle that runs through the center of each leaf. Cinnamon leaves, which are also known as Indian bay leaves were distilled into a light-yellow oil and used for medicinal purposes and as a scent in perfumes in the ancient times.
